Shakira's Touring Again After Serious Vocal Problems
Singer Shakira is finally back doing what she does best after suffering from serious vocal problems that caused her to postpone her previous tour.
The Hips Don't Lie superstar admitted: "Last year was one of the most difficult times of my entire life.
"Being back on stage has been so emotional."
Speaking on her vocal issues, Shakira said: "It was more than a haemorrhage. It was like a vascular lesion. So you can imagine, there were times when I doubted I would ever be in front of a crowd again singing my songs."
Although surgery was on the cards, Shakira luckily recovered naturally.
The lesion has now disappeared from her vocal chords, leaving her free to sing to her heart's content.
It's been a long seven years since Shakira's last tour as she decided to take a break to start a family with her long-time partner and Spanish footballer, Gerard Pique. The two share two children together.
Shakira performed on-stage in Germany just a few days ago, but it wasn't exactly the return to form Shakira was hoping for.
Although the show itself didn't disappoint, partner Gerard made an unfortunate discovery back at his home.
The footballer confirmed that his property had been burgled while he watched Shakira's performance.
Spanish reports say that the thieves managed to steal expensive and luxury items from the property, including watches and jewellery. The criminals left no fingerprints behind.
Despite the rocky start, Shakira fans couldn't be happier to have the She-Wolf back.
According to concert-goers, the 41-year-old star looked noticeably overwhelmed as she recognised the lengths she's travelled to battle her ill health.
Her new show celebrates over 20 years of her biggest hits.
