The 32-year-old comedian was caught kissing the 29-year-old dancer, who is married to fellow Strictly Star, Neil Jones, after a drink-fuelled night out in October.

Katya was spied with her husband Neil looking tense at a London charity event on Thursday. This was swiftly followed by an awkward public show of affection as they left the venue as they seemingly try to fix their marriage.

BBC chiefs have not yet decided whether Katya will take part in the tour, but her 2018 dance partner Seann will not. This is the first time a celebrity has not been invited to participate and is due to the desire to maintain the wholesome image of the show.

The dance partners Seann and Katya were caught kissing outside a London pub on October 3rd after snubbing his girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries on her birthday.

While the pair publicly apologised for their actions on social media and, despite fans' protests, continued on the show until they were eliminated, Rebecca launched a scathing social media attack on Seann to explain her side of the story.

She tweeted a statement: "It's incredibly good of Sean(n) and Katya to apologise in the media. I have received nothing, other than the support of my family, friends, and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was OK."

She continued to document his behaviour during their relationship generally: "He aggressively and repeatedly called me a psycho/nuts/mental, as he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I've questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour."

The incident was also said to have tainted the backstage atmosphere of Strictly, which show bosses hope the ban will help to clear.

The move is said to have come as a blow to Seann with the tour usually proving to be lucrative for the celebs. Fellow contestants Stacey Dooley, Joe Sugg and Dr Ranj Singh have all signed up along with the judges.
