Robbie Williams got down on one knee again for his wife Ayda Field as she celebrated her 40th birthday with her family and friends at the weekend.

Mum-of-three Ayda shared a video of the sweet gesture to her Instagram page, in which Robbie serenades his wife of nine years with a rendition of his song 'Angels'.

"She won't forsake me, I'm loving Ayda instead," the popstar sings as their family and friends watch on, before Robbie bends down on one knee and asks: "Baby one more thing, will you marry me again?"

Ayda nods her head and the pair quickly embrace as the rest of the party applaud and cheer for the couple.

"@robbiewilliams... the answer is yes," the former X Factor judge wrote in the caption with a love heart emoji, adding: "#besthusband ever #birthdaylove #rydaforever AWxx."

The video was liked over 36,000 times by Ayda's Instagram followers, who were quick to comment on how happy the couple look in the comments section of the Instagram post. "Absolutely love love love this!!!! Gorgeous couple!!!!! Congrats!!!" exclaimed one.

Echoing the above sentiment, somebody else shared: "You two are perfect together! Do it again but invite us all this time."

"Awww... this is so blooming lovely. I love seeing how happy you make each other," posted a third.

While a fourth added: "I don't think you could have imagined a more perfect 40th birthday! That was so special!"

The couple, who now share three children, Theodora, six, Charlton, four, and Colette, eight months, met in 2006 through mutual friends and tied the knot in 2010.

Robbie and Ayda chose to keep their nuptials almost secret at the popstar's Los Angeles home, also performing 'Angels' on the day.

At the time, Robbie told Hello: "She brings out the best in me. She is incredibly thoughtful and makes me want to be a better person."

These two are the definition of 'couple goals'!
