Olivia Colman Won A Golden Globe And Her Acceptance Speech Was Incredible

Olivia Colman Won A Golden Globe And Her Acceptance Speech Was Incredible

There were many winners at Sunday night's Golden Globes, but it's fair to say Olivia Colman stole the show with her incredible acceptance speech.

We're not sure whether it was the way she appeared quintessentially British by saying 'cor, blimey' or the fact she referred to her co-stars Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz as 'ma b*tches', but either way we're living for it.

Accepting her Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy, she said: "Cor blimey, thank you so much. I'm not going to cry because my entire table will point and laugh at me as I've been crying all evening."

Olivia payed tribute The Favourite director Yorgos Lanthimos, as well as her co-stars, adding: "Yorgos, thank you the most muchly and ma b*tches, Emma and Rachel, thank you, every second of working with you was such a joy and I was so sad that it finished.

"I would like to tell you how much this film meant to me but I can't think of it because I'm too excited.

"I went on a private jet and I ate constantly through the film and it was brilliant and I promise I will keep on enjoying this, because it's amazing."

Olivia had widely been tipped for the award for her role as Queen Anne as the monarch found itself caught in a triangle of power, alongside Abigail Masham played by Emma Stone and Sarah Hill played by Rachel Weisz.

But fans were completely won over by her humble attitude and incredible speech.

Thoroughly deserved.
