Meghan Markle is out here living her best life as the Duchess of Sussex, after tying the knot with Prince Harry earlier this year.

But before the former Suits actress became a member of the royal family and was pretty much BFFs with the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan ran her own fashion and lifestyle site titled The Tig.

It closed down in 2017 during the earlier days of her romance with Prince Harry, but the new royal once interviewed Princess Alia Al-Senussishe of Libya for her 'passion project'.

Touching on her own dreams of being royalty one day when she interviewed the princess, 37-year-old Meghan wrote: "Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power...Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy."

She continued: "Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."

The now Duchess of Sussex described the 'Tig Talk' as a 'pinch-myself-I'm-emailing-with-a-princess' kind of moment.

Announcing the closure of her blog in 2017, Meghan penned a heartfelt message to all of her adoring followers.

She wrote: "To all my Tig friends. After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye to The Tig.

"What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.

"You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being 'the change you wish to see in the world."

Meghan shared plenty of other inspiring posts on her website, including a quote from Portuguese author Jose Micard Teixeira on how to deal with conflict.

The unearthed blog post read: "I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demand of any nature," it reads.

"I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me, and to smile at those who do not smile at me. I no longer spend a single minute in those who lie or want to manipulate."

Reports have suggested that the American actress has been embroiled in a feud with her father, Thomas Markle and her half sister, Samantha Markle, over her wedding, although the royal family haven't commented on it publicly.
