Liam Payne 'Risks Missing Out On Bear's Milestones Over Busy Career'
Liam Payne has just opened up on how he balances fatherhood with stardom, admitting that he might miss out on some of his one-year-old son Bear's milestones because of his busy music career.
The popstar is currently on tour, and touched down in Dubai with his management at the end of last week. It is thought that girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy has been at home looking after their tot.
It doesn't sound like the former One Direction musician will be slowing things down anytime soon though. Speaking to The National about being a dad, Liam recalled: "He just started saying 'da-dad', which is just the cutest thing. Being a father is grounding.
"You realise that you are not working hard to improve things just for yourself, but for them as well."
He continued: "I realise I can build something for him to have, as long as I work as hard as I can right this second. So I've got to hit the ground running. Unfortunately, it's a risk that I will miss out on certain things.
"I am aware of that, but it's important for me that I carry on and make this right for him."
Last month, 24-year-old Liam seemed to reveal on Instagram that he might have to miss out on part of Bear's first birthday because of his tour.
The dad-of-one had a gig in Japan on the same day as his son's milestone, and he took to the social media platform to write: "This time next week I'll be on my way to Japan! I've got some amazing memories from Japan, can't wait to be back #TBT."
The 'Bedroom Floor' artist did share an adorable snap of his son on the birthday.
He was also forced to miss out on all the Father's Day fun last year because of his hectic solo career, according to OK! Magazine.
