This is not a drill, people. The Friends cast have just shared a reunion picture, and it's giving us life.

Exciting fans of the 90s sitcom nationwide on Tuesday, Rachel Green actress Jennifer Aniston officially signed up to Instagram, and naturally the first photo was with her fellow Friends cast-mates.

Beaming as she, Matt LaBlanc, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer all cosied up for a very rare snap together, the 50-year-old actress wrote: "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM ".

Amid the excitement, Jennifer's Instagram logo is, fittingly, a picture of herself gasping dramatically.

Meanwhile, her bio reads: "My friends call me Jen."

Naturally, just one hour after she posted the image of herself with her former co-stars, it had already racked up over a quarter of a million 'likes'.

Plus, the comments came streaming in almost instantly.

"THE BREAK IS FINALLY OVER!!," one of Jen's followers excitedly gushed, making an iconic Friends reference, while another quoted Joey Tribbiani, as they wrote: "How you doin?"

"We've been waiting tooooo longg," a third excitedly commented, as a fourth said: "This makes me so happy!!!"

Fellow actress - and Jen's The Morning Show co-star - Reese Witherspoon got in on the action, too, adding: "YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!!"

Jen has already followed a string of celebrities on her page, including the likes of Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Eva Mendez, Jack Whitehall and Adam Sandler.

The group picture is the first time all six cast members have publicly reunited since the official end of the show, with everybody minus Matthew Perry joining forces in 2016 for a tribute to TV director James Burrows.

Detailing the meet-up on Sirius XM Radio programme, she said: "Schwimmer was in town and we all happened to have a window of time so we all got together. We laughed so hard".

Jennifer went on to reveal that the reunion was "very civilised but we laughed a lot."

It comes as fans have been begging them all to return to screens for a film or another episode since the show ended in 2004.

Jennifer has previously teased the possibility of a comeback, saying she would be on board if her fellow stars fancied it.

However, dashing any hopes in the new interview, she said: "Our producers wouldn't want it, wouldn't let us. Look, it's not been without our desire to, because our fans have wanted it so much...

"It would have been fun. We could have redesigned it for a couple episodes. But whatever. Maybe it's better this way, but we'll never know."

For now, it looks like this picture is all we've got...
