Coleen Rooney Labels Party Girl 'Fame-Seeking Slapper' After Car Crash Interview
Coleen Rooney has reportedly spoken out after 'party girl' Laura Simpson went on This Morning to open up about what had really happened between herself and Wayne Rooney.
According to the Sun, Coleen believes that Laura 'deliberately targeted' Wayne in a bid to launch a reality show career.
A source said: "Coleen has been furious at Wayne. But the more she learns, the more sympathetic she is to Wayne's version of events.
"She wasn't impressed with Laura's TV appearance. The girl's story just keeps changing, while Wayne's remains the same.
"She labelled Laura a 'fame-seeking slapper'. She still thinks Wayne was in the wrong - but for the first time it seems he has some light at the end of the tunnel."
If you're not familiar with Laura, she's the girl who was caught in a car with the footballer when he got pulled over by police for 'driving under the influence'. She's also the girl who had previously admitted she would have slept with Wayne if he hadn't been stopped that night.
She's since been spotted on a night out with Jemma Lucy's ex, David Hawley, getting cosy to the Ex On The Beach star in pictures shown in The Sun.
Following a load of speculation surrounding what had gone on between the pair, she agreed to the live TV interview for the opportunity to give her side of the story.
However, viewers of the show were left 'furious' on Twitter after they branded the interview a 'car crash', taking aim at the 29-year-old for 'holding back' on her account of what had happened.
"Laura Simpson. Liar liar pants on fire #ThisMorning," jibed one social media user.
"Watching Laura Simpson squirm on This Morning. Good luck getting the truth out of her. Answering questions is not her forte," exclaimed a third.
Seemingly upset by the comments, Laura then revealed the 'truth' about her interview with the show.
Taking to Twitter, she appeared to backtrack on what had been said, writing: "To just clarify because there are some awfully thick people..."
The mum-of-one added: "I meant he doesn't deserve (the grief of it all) and I wouldn't (break up with) if it was my partner.
"I'm not media trained, I was shaking and scared to death..... @thismorning."
Well, that clears that up, then.
