Love Island star Alexandra Cane just got real about food intolerance, sharing an image of her bloated stomach to Instagram in a candid post to her followers.

Alexandra explained allergy tests had recently revealed she was intolerant to gluten, cow's milk and beef, all of which caused her tummy to bloat painfully after eating.

The reality star often speaks openly of her struggles with bloating, but now says she has answers why.

"So most of you know how open I am about my regular bloating," explained Alexandra, who rose to fame on the latest Love Island series. "It can be an absolute nightmare when I want to feel my best."

She went on to explain that she'd used a "simple finger-prick blood test", which came back with her results.

Fans were quick to praise the reality star for opening up to her followers on something so personal - but something which will be super relatable for many. Her post was liked over 60,000 times by her followers, all sharing their own experiences with bloating and IBS.

One person replied: "There are not many celebs worth following but you are worth your weight in gold @alexandralouise__

"I wish more celebs were as honest and real as you are. Maybe then women would feel less pressure on them and the world would be a better place."

Somebody else shared: "That's so interesting, I have IBS and the bloating can be horrendous. Totally feel you on that, especially when kids at work ask me when I'm having my baby (I tell them it's a food baby)."

"Fair play @alexandralouise__ for sharing your struggles as it can help someone1 else," wrote a fourth.

Remember, a visit to the GP is always advised if you're concerned about your bloating.
