Prince William And Kate Post Tribute To Meghan Markle On Her Birthday

Prince William And Kate Post Tribute To Meghan Markle On Her Birthday

Happy Birthday Meghan!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have marked Meghan Markle's 41st birthday by sharing a post on their social media accounts.

Meghan turned 41 today and will likely be celebrating with husband Prince Harry and their two children, Archie, three and Lilibet, who turned one in June.

Both Harry and Meghan visited the UK earlier in the summer to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

It is thought that during the trip, the Queen was introduced to her great-granddaughter Lilibet, who shares her family nickname.

The birthday snap shared by William and Kate showed the Duchess of Sussex during the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June, wearing a cream belted coat and matching hat.

"Wishing a happy birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!" The post read.

In other royal news, last week, we told you about Meghan's sweet gesture towards a woman at a United Nations meeting, who started having a coughing fit during the event.

The Duchess of Sussex kindly handed a woman a bottle of water after she started coughing at the UN for Nelson Mandela International Day in New York where Prince Harry was giving a speech.

The sweet gesture has been shared on social media and many are praising the 40-year-old mum-of-two for her kindness.

One social media user said: “To offer your bottle of water to another woman who is coughing tells me more of Duchess Meghan's character, than any hit piece book written about her.”

Another Twitter user described Meghan as being ‘so thoughtful’.

In his speech, Prince Harry criticised the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Roe v Wade ruling.

“From the horrific war in Ukraine to the rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States, we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom,” he said.

Meghan also opened up about her anger following the ruling in an interview with Vogue in June.

"Men need to be vocal in this moment and beyond because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large,” she said.

"They may target women, but the consequences impact all of us.

"My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days. He's a feminist too.

"His reaction last week was guttural, like mine.

"I know that for so many women right now, there is a sentiment of despair. But again, we have to band together and not wallow. We have to do the work."
