Lorraine Kelly urges Prince Harry to 'bin' explosive book to heal 'rift' between him and William

Lorraine has some advice for Prince Harry

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has urged Prince Harry to 'bin' his forthcoming book in an effort to make amends with Prince William and King Charles III.

The highly anticipated memoir was expected to cover everything from losing his mum at a young age, his marriage to Meghan Markle, to his decision to step down from the Royal Family.

The book was originally due to be published by the end of the year, however, it is unknown if the book will be pushed back as a result of Queen Elizabeth II's passing.

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to step down as senior royals and relocate their family to California, there had been strong rumours of a rift between Harry and his family.

The prince seemingly confirmed those suspicions last year during the explosive tell-all interview he and Meghan had with Oprah Winfrey.

When asked about his relationship with his brother, he told Winfrey at the time: "You know, as I've said before, I love William to bits. He's my brother.

"We've been through hell together. I mean, we have a shared experience. But, you know, we're on different paths.

"The relationship is space, at the moment. Time heals all things, hopefully."

Following Harry and Meghan's recent appearance in the UK for Queen Elizabeth's funeral - and all of the ceremonies and events that preceded it - there have been rumblings of a possible reconciliation between the brothers.

However, with Harry's tell-all memoir still in the works, there are concerns that the book release could spark up the feud all over again, and send the brothers back to square one.

Discussing the situation on Lorraine this Thursday (22 September) with Royal Editor Russell Myers, Lorraine Kelly shared her hopes that Harry would change his mind.

"They've been brought back into the fold, which is good. It's what you want", she said. "I think bin the book or just make it a tribute."

Russell asked her: "Well is that possible though? Because they've signed a big money deal."

But Lorraine wasn't having it, replying: "You can always give the money back. I don't know how it works, but it's strange."

Not much is known about the contents of Prince Harry's memoir, and he's been tight-lipped about the project ever since it was first announced.

An official press release about the book reads: "Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.

"Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the front line of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story."

In his own personal statement, Harry added that he was writing the book 'not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become'.

He added that he was 'excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful'.
