Katy Perry hilariously responds after struggling to find her seat at the King's coronation

Katy Perry has responded in the best way after King Charles' coronation viewers were left in stitches over her unable to find her seat.

Katy Perry has responded in the best way after King Charles' coronation viewers were left in stitches over her unable to find her seat.

Most viewers probably weren't expecting to see the 'Firework' singer pop up on their screen during the coronation service today (Saturday, 6 March), but as soon as they spotted her, they certainly wouldn't have regretted it.

Perry had the internet in stitches after being caught on camera wandering around Westminster Abbey, unable to locate her seat - and her overflowing pink hat was not really helping matters either.

It's always anxiety-inducing trying to navigate yourself around a large event - let alone the King of England's coronation service, filled with celebrities and high-ranking members of society left, right and centre - such as Dame Judi Dench, Andrew Lloyd Webber, David and Victoria Beckham and even the magician Dynamo.

It's no wonder Perry looked increasingly frazzled as she tried to locate her seat further, again to little avail, making for some painfully awkward, but hilarious footage.

And sure enough, as soon as social media users cottoned on to the funny clip, it didn't take long for it to become widespread on Twitter, with people howling with laughter at the whole kerfuffle.

Some said it served Perry right for wearing such a large hat, while others questioned why the service didn't have ushers to prevent guests from ending up looking like lost lambs.

And other users just found the situation painfully relatable.

And Perry has since responded to the footage of her going viral online.

After the service at Westminster Abbey finished, at 3:00pm, Perry took to Twitter to let coronation viewers know: "Don't worry guys i found my seat."

And her followers can't get enough of her response and have flooded to the tweet, many surprised but overjoyed to see her at the service, not realising that the singer would be attending as a result of agreeing to perform at the coronation concert at Windsor Castle on Sunday, and because of her ties to King Charles III through the British Asian Trust.

One user wrote: "You are the biggest event of this coronation."

"Me asking if the seat is already taken at a coffee shop," another joked.

A third said: "Me trying to find my mom at a full supermarket."

"Katy the only queen at the coronation," a fourth commented.

While a final resolved: "Alexa play lost - katy perry."
