Chanelle Hayes shares her very strict guest list rule ahead of wedding

She's admitted to being very picky when it comes to who will be getting an invite to her big day

Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has opened up about her strict wedding guest list - and revealed a simple rule she’s followed before sending out invites.

The 35-year-old is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Dan Bingham, and has admitted that she’s being very picky about who she’ll be inviting along to celebrate her big day.

Chanelle, who is mum to 11-year-old Blakely and three-year-old Frankie, began dating Dan in early 2021 and got engaged in May last year.

The loved-up pair tend to keep their relationship out of the public eye and this appears to be something they want to reflect on their wedding day as Chanelle says they’re opting for a ‘simple’ wedding.

Speaking during an appearance on the Secure The Insecure podcast Chanelle revealed that while in years gone by she may have gone for a huge OTT wedding day on a private island, now she wants a more low-key affair and she only wants her very nearest and dearest in attendance - which means anyone who didn’t message her during a recent bout of illness is out.

Speaking to host Johnny Seifert she said: "Honestly, before if you'd have asked me this 10 years ago, I would have been renting an island like a whole private island.

"I would have invited people just for the sake of having certain names there.

"Now I'm like chopping people off the list if they've not text me when I've had Covid.

"I don't need to make a big song and dance about me and Dan being the centre of attention because it's a piece of paper at the end of the day and we just want to have a celebration, where we've got people there who we love, who we can enjoy our time with."

The mum-of-two also said she wants to keep things simple and doesn’t want to spend a fortune on her special day as she’d much rather save for her future than splurge.

"I am a Yorkshire born and bred girl at heart, so for me, I would much rather save the money and put it into our home,” she added.

"Or save the money and save it for our children's futures.

"I want to have a simple wedding with our nearest and dearest where they get to see us, just get to see how much we love each other and have just a lot of special special there."
