Despite being regular barbequers (weather-permitting) and casual camping fans, if there's one thing that can ruin a night sleeping under the stars, its mosquitos.

Sure we've already snapped up this handy outdoor chair, but what about when we don't want to sit encased inside a layer of netting?

Bug spray is all well and good, but there's nothing more frustrating than getting a little bit of that DEET-infused mist in our mouths and we tend to forget it anyway, TBH.

Lucky then that we've just discovered The Body Source Mosquito Repellent Bracelets on Amazon, as if the amount of five-star reviews they've racked up are anything to go by, they could be about to change the game.

Made using 100 per cent natural ingredients (there's citronella, lemongrass and geraniol essential oils which are all proven to repel mosquitos) which ensure no overpowering smell or skin irritation, Amazon claims that each waterproof bracelet offers 10 days of protection against mosquitos, bugs and insects.

They are DEET-free, too, so they are safe to use on babies and their handy design mean they can be attached to buggies and cots, as well as around wrists, ankles and in the hair.

Don't just take our word for it though - these much-welcome inventions have racked up hundreds of five-star reviews, with customers claiming they are "great value, funky and functional."

One satisfied user shared: "One of the best purchases I've made on here. My husband and I went to Mexico for two weeks and didn't get bitten the entire time we used the bands.

"We used a new one every three days and continued to wear the older one until it completely lost its smell.

Adding: "We usually get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but this was our first time using these bands and we will definitely be purchasing them for future travels."

"Thought I'd give these a try when I went to Thailand as I get attacked quite badly from the dreaded mosquito but I have to say for the first time ever they left me alone while all around me my friends are getting bitten alive," penned another.

This woman got double the bang for her buck when purchasing the bracelets for her granddaughter: "Bought these for my granddaughter who has been constantly bitten.

"I have tried all sorts of stuff to stop this but this is the first to work and she is delighted with them as she has not been bitten since wearing them. She actually wears them in her hair so it has a double use for her."

These bracelets come in a pack of ten and cost just £10.99, which we think that's a pretty good price to pay to prevent ourselves from becoming a mozzie's dinner.
