A man has gone viral with a hilarious Twitter thread documenting his step-son trying to sneak a girl out of the family home without his mum knowing.
Tricky-D knew that his step-son had brought a girl back the night before as he'd noticed the extra pair of white trainers by the front door the next morning.
But the Twitter user's wife hadn't clocked on, and Tricky-D was 'curious to know' how his step-son would manage to get the mystery woman out without anyone batting an eyelid.

"So, my stepson has a girl upstairs in his room that stayed the night and my wife doesn't know yet. I'm curious on how he plans to smuggle her out now that the whole family is awake," he started the thread. "...and now we wait."
Following scores of Twitter users desperate for an update on the situation, the step-dad continued: "People asking for updates: she's still here, the wife has gone into full Saturday house cleaning mode. Still hasn't noticed the cute white shoes by the door. This could be his chance while she's distracted."
He then shared a snap of the tell-tale white trainers by the front door his wife had failed to notice.

Tricky-D declared: "No one in this house would have all white shoes...
"A note on the shoe thing.. there is a side door attached to the kitchen literally right at the bottom of the stairs. But... Those damn shoes are on the opposite side of the house."
The step-dad revealed that his oblivious wife was 'hardcore cleaning' with the music on full blast, meaning his step-son had a window to get her out of his bedroom - although he seemed to miss his chance.

And for anyone asking why he wasn't helping his step-son, he then added: "I see all ya comments about help the kid out... He's a 18yo grown ass man. We live and die by our choices."
As the tension continued to play out, a poll of his Twitter followers actually showed that they were all rooting for the son.

After no movements for almost an hour, the man then wrote: "I think they might be waiting it out. The wife usually lays down and reads after lunch, especially after cleaning her ass off all morning.
"Could he be waiting for that?? Can she hold her pee another hour or so?? I have no idea what they thinking up there."
But finally, there was an update. "OMG OMG OHHHH MY GAWDDDDDDD. SHE CAME DOWN TO USE THE BATHROOM! IT'S ONE OF HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS! See... Mom might believe it's just a friendly sleepover, she was lucky enough to sleep through the f*ck fest above our heads at 4am.

Revealing that the son had managed to bypass his mum, Tricky D finished: "And closure... Sure enough, hit the side door and they gone. I don't know about you but need a drink after that suspense.

Unsurprisingly, each tweet raked in likes from amused followers who all lapped up the thread, but we can't help but wonder how this would have panned out if the mum *had* noticed the trainers by the front door...
