First Generation My Little Ponies Are Back And It's Nostalgic AF

In honour of My Little Pony's 35th anniversary, Argos are selling authentic reproductions of the original 1980s version, and we can't deal

You'll probably remember them and you've maybe got a couple stuffed somewhere in your nan's loft but, if seeing them makes your bottom lip tremble, then you'll be overwhelmed to know that the OG My Little Pony is back at Argos in time for the herd's 35th anniversary (making us feel ancient and nostalgic in equal measure).

Argos

Available as part of the 2 for £15 range at Argos the authentic reproductions of the original 1980s ponies have the long, shiny hair that you can comb, braid, and style *sigh*.

Argos

And they look and feel just like you remember (check out the patterns on their cute little butts and tell me you don't feel something).

Argos

They come complete with a comb to keep their mane and tale glossy, ribbon and mini collector poster.

Name a more iconic gift for kids or adult collectors...we'll wait.

Argos

There are six to collect including Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Blossom, Blue Belle, Minty and Snuzzle and, to be completely honest, we won't rest until we have the whole herd.

Argos

There's only one review but it's five stars and we don't need any more convincing.

Argos

It said: "THE PONY WAS BEAUTIFULLY MADE : The packaging was delightful and the pony was classy and beautiful. It was bought as a gift for a three year old and it was loved by her. It came with a lovely little comb. Beautiful, innocent and fun."

Visit the Argos website or go in store and buy one My Little Pony Retro Ponies for £10 or two for £15.

Polly Pocket

The nostalgic product drop is hot on the heels of a Buzzfeed report that Mattel is bringing back Polly Pocket Compacts this summer.

Polly Pocket first came on the scene in 1989 in the guise of compacts with Polly's miniature world inside.

Some iconic Polly Pocket compacts include schoolhouse Polly and of course water-park Polly - because who doesn't want to carry an entire water park around in their pocket?

Polly Pocket

In 1998, Mattel bought Bluebird Toys and gave Polly a makeover, upgrading the line of toys so the dolls were a little bigger and the compacts were gone.

But it seems Polly's going back to her roots as the new line is set to bring back the OG compacts.

The range is set to include Polly in her house, which includes a moped, but strangely, no toilet.

You'll also be able to get an adorable picnic compact which includes the moped, a picnic blanket, a skateboard and a picnic basket (all the essentials ).

Then there's a super cool under water starfish compact which comes complete with a pink dolphin and hidden pearl.

Polly Pocket

Our personal favourite is the après-ski compact complete with a ski lift, snow board and adorable little snow cabin.

The new range comes after an American retail chain claimed Polly was going vegan to celebrate her 30th birthday. See? She's just like us!
