A Twitter user has shared the underwhelming outcome after hiring an electrician to fit a fancy light fitting in his home, and the botched results quickly went viral.
Sean Nicol from Edinburgh purchased a black spider lamp from Ebay for just £16.99 in black. You can also choose between six and 12 light bulbs, and Sean opted for the smaller option.
The light fitting features different bulbs hanging on black wires, and when fitted *correctly*, it creates a beautiful effect.

But it seems like the Twitter user's electrician didn't get the memo as the results would make Laurence Llewelyn Bowen gasp in horror.
In a tweet captioned: "What I expected when I bought it vs. How my electrician has fitted it," Sean shared side by side images of the what he expected against what he was given.
Instead of the bulbs cascading down, they are lumped together like a limp spider dangling from the ceiling. There's no denying that it would be a talking point, but maybe not for the right reasons.

The results got plenty of people laughing though, as it raked in 2,800 likes and hundreds of retweets. Some users even suggested that Sean should fire his electrician for the shoddy results.
"That is horrendous," declared one person in response. And somebody else joked: "Got the apprentice to do that one."
"The word....limp springs to mind on the second one," mocked another of his Twitter followers.

While a final concluded: "The instructions must have been scrumpled up when he looked at them."
Spider lamps are one of the biggest home decor trends at the moment, although it's fair to say that this electrician hasn't quite nailed the look this time.
