A makeup artist from Los Angeles has turned herself into Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants using only items you would find in a pharmacy.

Mykie, whose real name is Lauren Mychal, posts her weird and wonderful creations on the YouTube channel Glam & Gore.

"We all love a little nostalgia," she says in the video. "But not all nostalgia has to come from a really long time ago, it might just come from a year ago.

"I can't help but want to do a sequel to one of my favourite videos I've ever done, which is 'I tried to turn myself into Spongebob Squarepants using only drugstore makeup'.

"Obviously the natural progression of things is to become Squidward, which you already know from the title."

"I'm going to go back to the drugstore, I'm going to get a coke, because magic happens when I'm caffeinated," she says.

"I will try my absolute best to make it look as good as possible with what we've got."

Mykie can then be seen heading into a Walgreens pharmacy to pick up beauty blenders, green-tinted concealer, other makeup products, a shower cap, condoms, nipple covers, sponges, false nails, and cotton wool balls.

Once at home, she fills a shower cap full of cotton balls to create Squidward's head and stuffs a condom to create his nose.

She then uses fabric tape to stick the shower cap to her head and uses a foam sword to create the character's mouth and eyes, before using eyelash glue to stick the creations together.

Mykie then paints the parts green using different makeup products and attached the amazing - and frankly terrifying - end result to her face.

The beauty YouTuber is well-known for her scary creations, and recently filmed a video of her doing a Halloween look on the Queen Mary, which she described as 'the most haunted ship in the world'.

Previously, she has created a 'strangled Rapunzel' look, as well as a 'hooked Little Mermaid' - both of which are as creepy as they sound.
