It started in June 2017 as a way for US hairstylist Caitlin Ford to celebrate pride with her clients, but now unicorn armpit hair has made a comeback for Januhairy - a movement asking women to stop defuzzing for charity in January to raise money and encourage them to love and accept their body hair.
Combining our love of everything unicorn-related and body positivity - this is the 'bizarre beauty trend' we need for 2019.
Caitlin is already renowned for her unicorn colour creations a bit further north on clients' heads.
This trend has grown and keeps growing with men and women across the world getting their hair dyed in unique colourways and combinations.
The caption of Caitlin's post says that her client and friend "wanted some rainbow underarms for St. Louis Pride".
The colourist dyed her client's underarm hair five different rainbow hues, dubbing them: "Rainbow Pits."
A slew of people have since taken to social media to share their Rainbow Pit snaps, including Miley Cyrus.
And what better month than Januhairy - the anti-hair removal movement founded by drama student Laura Jackson - to get involved?
Laura told the BBC that she had some negative reactions when she grew her body hair for a role: "Though I felt liberated and more confident in myself, some people around me didn't understand or agree with why I didn't shave."
But she wasn't deterred and is encouraging women around the world to jump on board the movement and ditch hair removal for January and maybe forever.
If you're already in the process of growing yours out, why not add some colour to the mix?
