People Are Campaigning To Bring The Great Prawn Cocktail Wotsit Back

If you're a crisp connoisseur, you'll understand just how important it is to get the crunch to flavour ratio right.

Some bags of the good stuff do it perfectly - take salt and vinegar Squares, for example. Not only do they make that delicious snapping sound when you bite into them, but they also taste bloody wonderful, and they keep things entertaining by being, well, square.

Then there's the chilli heatwave Dorito. It's bold, it's in your face, and it doesn't give a monkeys about anything. It's the kind of crisp you wouldn't want to take home to your mum, but keep tasting anyway.

And I couldn't mention crisps without giving a shout out to Quavers. Yeah, they're pretty tame and not the most exciting of crisps, but you know you can always rely on them to deliver - like a comfy pair of slippers.

For some people, though, life in the snack lane is a little tougher, as their favourites are no longer around, and they're forced to create online petitions in hope of one day being reunited with the crisps they love.

Take prawn cocktail Wotsits, for example. If you have a relatively alright memory, you'll probably remember them being the absolute DREAM.

Sadly, the crisps met their sad fate a few years back, as they were discontinued, leaving prawn cocktail Wotsit fans devastated.

But now, unable to go on without the crisps anymore, one fan has started an online petition to bring them back, and it's fair to say it's all kicking off.

Writing on Change.org, petition organiser Yasmin Morgan demanded: "Bring back prawn cocktail Wotsits. They are a dead brand who need [sic] to be revived, they are the best crisps that were made in the UK.

"Together we can make Britain great again!"

Bold words there, Yasmin. You should get that written down the side of a bus or something.

Yasmin's not alone in her mission, as the petitions now been signed by over 800 people (at time of writing), and Twitter, too, has been flooded with demands to bring back the prawn cocktail Wotsit.

"Best tasting crisps I've ever had," said one Twitter user, while another wrote: "They were literally my favourite crisps ever and would spend a loooot of money just for one more bag."

Walkers are yet to comment on the situation, but if they know what's good for them, they'll do the right thing and bring back what the people want.

Until then, we'll just have to keep petitioning. Together, guys, we can achieve greatness.
