From chicken nugget taster to professional napper, we can think of a few jobs that we'd happily trade in our nine-to-five for.

And now we've found a new one to add to that list because Chester Zoo are currently looking for someone to look after its elephants.

The successful candidate would take home a salary of £21,356.63 working 40 hours per week spread over 10 days out of 14, so there may be some weekend and bank holiday work to do, but if you get to spend it with elephants then what else would you rather be doing?

The website says the job offers "a range of amazing benefits" too which include free admittance tickets, free park and ride access and 33 days paid holiday (inclusive on bank holidays) which increases with length of service - where do we sign up?

"We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Keeper to join us on the Elephant section," it explains online.

"For the right candidate, this post offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a breeding family unit of Asian elephants."

"Chester Zoo aims to set a benchmark for animal welfare and the successful candidate must be able to deliver an excellent level of animal husbandry, care and welfare for the assigned mammals; ensuring that all enclosures and facilities are maintained to the highest possible standards."

But don't get too excited just yet - if you don't have an HND or degree level qualification in a zoological related science or equivalent experience, we're afraid you won't have much luck in landing this dream job.

According to the website, you'll also need proven experience in the care and management of large mammal species including giraffe, rhino or elephants in a zoo or safari park setting as well as experience implementing environmental enrichment.

Think you've got what it takes? You can apply for the role here. You've only got five days left though as closing date for applications is Sunday 18th August, so you'd better hurry!
