If you were born in December, you've probably spent your lifetime receiving joint birthday and Christmas presents and being told no one can go out to celebrate because they can't afford it.

However, it isn't all doom and gloom if you're a December baby, because you are actually more special than you realise.

Apart from sharing a birthday month with Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, and Brad Pitt, there are some interesting facts about people born at the end of the year.

December babies are more likely to live longer, according to a study.

The report published in the Journal of Ageing Research showed people born in December are more likely to live to 105 or even longer.

There is even more great health news for anyone born in December, as they are also less likely to contract heart disease.

A study of 1,749,400 people from the US found that December babies have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease which is due to "seasonal variations".

Those born in the most festive time of the year are also apparently nicer people.

They complain less than others and have less frequent mood swings, probably due to all the Christmas cheer.

And if you are born in December, you are more likely to become a dentist.

A career in sport might be more up your street as it has been found that those with birthdays later in the year are natural athletes.

Those born in the winter and autumn months have natural athletic capabilities, according to the International Journal of Sports Medicine .

Researchers say that this is due to higher vitamin D exposure during pregnancy.

These are not the only pros of being born in December, as they have officially been described as morning people too.

Apparently, they are more likely to enjoy getting an early night and they actually like getting up early.

While you might be fed up of it always being dark and cold on your birthday or having to book a festive party table for your celebrations, it seems that your December birthday isn't all bad.
