I think I speak for all Great British Bake Off fans when I say that there was serious doubt over the future of the show following its pretty huge shake up.

How many adverts would there be now it's on Channel 4? Does Noel Fielding know ANYTHING about baking? Who would inspect the soggy bottoms now that Mary Berry had quit?

Thankfully 2017 GBBO has been just as innuendo filled as past series, and there's been both baking triumphs and spectacular fails.

For those of you who are still wishing that they could be on the beloved show, a new GBBO pop-up event is here for you and your friends, which could be a recipe for success...

In true Bake Off style, all the ingredients are good to go, you'll have a top baker at your side, an irresistible cooking theme, and, of course, there can only be one winner.

Sure, you might not get to meet Paul Hollywood and his steely blue eyes, but you will be able to unleash your competitive cooking streak.

You and your BFF will have 90 minutes to whisk, roll and drizzle your way towards a winning bake. Don't worry though, you'll have instructions, tools and tips to create either a masterpiece or a "right old mess."

Speaking exclusively to PRETTY52, the event organisers revealed that there is also going to be a Christmas-theme throughout the whole of December. 'Tis the season to eat too much cake, after all!

They said: "Our Christmas themed month should be amazing fun. We are going to be mastering gingerbread, with cute little gingerbread grottos being the challenge for every baker. It is going to be a challenge of construction, stability and of course decoration.

"We are providing all the ingredients for our bakers to give their houses gum drop button windows, icing sugar covered roofs and strawberry lace tiling. The tent will be adorned with a Christmas decorations galore so it should be the perfect winter day/night out."

There will even be a marquee, 10 cooking stations, and ingredients will be provided for you too. You'll compete against your mates (and strangers) in 10 teams of two. The head baker for the session will be judging all the bakes, looking for the "perfect bake, beautiful decoration, and flavour".

The event is at The Castle in Tooting, and is running up until the end of the year so there's loads of time for you to get yourself booked in.

Speaking of tickets, they cost just £36.50, and I'm sure it'll be well worth it. If you want to go all out, you can book out the whole marquee for your friends.
