Aldi has made two of its most popular and award-winning gins available to buy online.

Eden Mill's Botanical Project's Blueberry and Vanilla and Ginger and Chilli-flavoured spirits are being sold on the supermarket's website.

Both bottles are priced at £19.99, and you can even get them delivered straight to your door the next day for £3.95 - you don't even need to move off the sofa to get your favourite gin fix.

The gins were originally only released in Scottish Aldi stores, and this launch means the rest of the UK can finally sample them.

They have been released online as part of the supermarket's National Gin Festival, which launched in July.

Eden Mill's Botanical Project are officially award-winning, and picked up several prizes at the International Spirits Challenge 2018.

Both spirits won an accolade for the best flavoured gin, and the distillery's Traditional Batch Gin won a top spot in the 'Gin Distilled Premium' category, but unfortunately this isn't available online.

Despite the full range not being available on the website, it's predicted that these two flavours will be extremely popular.

The Blueberry and Vanilla flavour is described as 'exuding cafe muffin-esque aromas', and the Ginger and Chilli as 'offering a dynamic drinking experience'.

The launch also proves that supermarket gins are definitely on the up.

In July, Aldi also launched a limited edition colour changing gin. The Forest Fruits colour-changing tipple from McQueen Gin morphs from a pale sapphire to pink when tonic (or any other acidic mixer or garnish) is added.

That's because the drink is distilled with the blue petals of the Asian butterfly flower, which amazingly changes colour when the PH levels are adjusted.

Dale McQueen, Managing Director and Co-Founder of McQueen Gin, said: "Not only does our new artisan gin taste great, but it also brings a little bit of theatre to gin o'clock. Perfect to share with friends, it's a delicious fruity gin with a difference.

"Add a squeeze of lime first and see what shade of pink the gin goes, then add the tonic and it will change again."
