What Do You Get If You Cross A Doughnut With A Cinnamon Swirl? This Little Slice Of Heaven

Cinnamon Swirls are pretty excellent. You know what else is excellent doughnuts?

Obviously this article is going to feature a combination of the two. You know that because you clicked the title, so let's cut the preamble. The thing you're probably wondering is, how have they managed to cross-breed the two?

Well New York-based pastry chef Thiago Silva came up with the idea and spoke to Mashable about his creation:

I thought the idea was cool if I put a cinnamon roll [inside] but it would have to be raw and cook at the same time as the donut.

It was a struggle because Thiago needed to create a doughnut that would be thin enough to cook a cinnamon swirl inside but thick enough to hold together. It took a lot of time and effort but eventually he came up with this:
