Halloumi is not just cheese, it is a way of life.

So, if the above statement had you furiously nodding your head, then you will probably be pretty happy to hear that JD Wetherspoon now has halloumi fries on the menu. Yup, halloumi fries!

According to Joyscribe, the delicious treat is just as cheap as you would expect from good ol' Spoons, as you can grab a plate of the fries for just £3.10.

They are served with a sweet chilli dip and some rocket on the side, although the only part we honestly care about is the halloumi.

Expect there to be queues outside your local spoons, as it looks like these bad boys will be in high demand.

If you can't get yourself down to your local Spoons, then Firebox has a handy alternative as the brand is selling a make your own halloumi at home kit.

That's right, you can make the cheese from scratch, meaning you'll never run out.

Firebox

You can buy one of these bad boys for £22.99 from Firebox, and each kit contains everything (ingredients and equipment) you need to make eight batches of delish halloumi, which works out at just £2.80 per lot.

We are also pretty sure that you can make halloumi fries out of the squeaky cheese too if you are a dab hand in the kitchen.

To make the cheese, all you need to do is add your own milk to all the ingredients, and Bob's your uncle.

Firebox says that the end product is also much better than the 'usual supermarket rubber' and is the perfect way to get into cheese creation as it is super easy. Any halloumi is good enough for us.

It is all vegetarian-friendly too, as the rennet in it is suitable for veggies.

Anyone else craving halloumi now?
