The Unicorn Smarties Egg Is Here For Easter

The Easter bunny looks set to be overshadowed by another magical creature this year.

The Nestlé Unicorn Edition Smarties Easter Egg is hitting supermarket shelves in February and they're going to gallop out of stores.

The upcoming launch was announced by UK Food/ Reviews on Instagram on Sunday with the caption: "Coming February 18th Exclusively @asda @smartiesuk."

Chocolate fans and unicorn aficionados have come out in force to express their excitement.

One commented: "That's soooo Lush!!"

Another exclaimed: "Omg I need this!!"

While one fan simply said: "Want want want!!!!!"

The Nestlé Unicorn Edition Smarties Easter Egg contains a milk chocolate egg and three full-size tubes of the Unicorn Edition Smarties you know and love.

Launched in June last year, Nestlé Unicorn Edition Smarties are a twist on classic Smarties with the same delicious chocolately inside and crisp outer shell but in über-Instagrammable pastel colours of pink and baby blue. Double win.

Last year, Stephanie Scales from Nestlé UK said: "Smarties is all about the colour and, if you are a fan of the colourful world of unicorns, then these are your perfectly Instagrammable summer accessory for everything from road-trips to creative baking.

"And even if unicorns aren't really your thing then that's OK too because it's still the same delicious taste of Smarties once you open the bag."

The price for the Easter egg is, as yet, unconfirmed but the Nestlé Unicorn Edition Smarties Easter Egg will be available exclusively at ASDA on Monday, 18th February 2018.
