While it might not exactly be beer garden weather right now, this release from Rekorderlig is at least a sip of British summer. Enter: parma violet-flavoured cider, of which you can pick up a bottle for £2 from Tesco.
Rekorderlig has blended its famous pear cider made from pure Swedish spring water with blackberries, violets and juniper for its latest drink which launched in April, and we already know it's going to be one of our favourites this summer.
The new flavour is part of Rekorderlig's premium botanicals range of ciders, and has a ABV of four per cent and is both gluten free and vegan-friendly.
It looks like the floral, fruity drink is exclusive to Tesco for now, and you might want to take advantage of the supermarket giant's online offer to save a few pennies when purchasing.

While the individual bottles are priced at £2 each, you can also buy three for £5.25, which works out at £1.75 per parma violet cider in Tesco's deal.
The offer also applies to other flavours in Rekorderlig's premium botanicals range at the supermarket, such as grapefruit and rosemary, peach and basil, and a rhubarb, lemon and mint flavour, meaning you can mix-and-match to tantalise your taste buds.
The nostalgic parma violet flavour has well and truly made a comeback for 2019 and many companies have also unveiled booze inspired by the iconic sweets in recent months.
In March, Brothers Cider released a parma violet flavour of its English cider, which combined sweet violets with floral notes and traditional Somerset apples into one bottle.

And Aldi also launched bottles of glittery purple gin in the floral flavour priced at £9.99, which rivalled Whitley Neill's parma violet gin priced at £26.
Needless to say, we can't wait to try all of these. Maybe just not all in one go though...
