Chocolate fiends are sure to be on a (sugar) high with the news that Snickers have unveiled a new bar called the Snickers Crisp.

The tantalising new snack by Mars will be available at Nisa stores nationwide from next week and no doubt the bar will have a new army of milk chocolate lover craving it.

The chocolate bar contains Snickers' trademark peanuts and caramel but also puffed rice and a more wafer-like texture than the original.

However, Snickers fans may be disappointed to hear that the new bar is smaller than the original - but that doesn't mean it compromises on flavour and is in fact less calories then it's counterpart.

The Snicker Crisp, which costs 69p, is 97 calories while an original Snickers packs 245 calories per bar.

Last year, Snickers surprised fans with a limited-edition white chocolate version of the beloved sweet treat was spotted at B&M.

Earlier this year, supermarket Aldi has just started selling Twix and Mars Bar hot chocolate pods for extra indulgent, treat yourself moments.

The bars, which are made by the same manufacturer as Snickers, cost £2.99 for a pack of eight chocolate pods.

As mentioned, there are two different flavours on offer to suit all chocolate preferences. And if the delicious chocolate bars are anything to go by, the Twix drink will be a caramel biscuit infusion.

The Mars Bar hot chocolate drinks were described as the perfect fusion of chocolate, nougat and caramel, just like the chocolatey treat.

According to the packaging, the chocolate pods were compatible with Dolce Gusto coffee machines, although you may be able to use them in other similar designs.

You could mix the chocolate pods with whichever kind of milk you fancy as long as your machine is compatible.

Mars also created Milkyway hot chocolate pods but they have yet to be stocked.
