If you and your significant other are celebrating Valentine's Day from the comfort of your own home this year, Morrisons has launched the perfect treat for meat-lovers.
Its new sweetheart steak is a heart-shaped cut of beef that's made for sharing between two this 14th February.
Morrisons' sweetheart steak is made from a traditional ribeye, which has more marbling that other steaks. Marbling refers to white flecks and streaks of fat which meat richer and more tender in its texture.
The supermarket's butchers are crafting the steaks in-store but will ensure that the butchery doesn't waste any of the meat.
"This is the perfect Valentine's Day food for customers that are looking to impress. Before you even cut into it, this steak sends a romantic message and it tastes great too," said Paul Robinson, butchery specialist at Morrisons.
The heart-shaped sharing steaks will be in-store from today (Monday, 11th February) until Friday, 16th February, costing £20 per kg.
Supermarkets are coming out in full force with their Valentine's Day offerings, with plenty of options to suit all dietary requirements.
M&S is selling a heart-shaped, crispy bacon-wrapped sausage for the day of love, priced at £5.
Marks and Spencer's aptly named 'Love Sausage' could be the perfect breakfast in bed on the official day of love as it suggests serving it with two fried eggs in the middle.
Or you could pair the meat feast with some creamy, buttery mash and lashings of gravy for a simple yet tasty dinner.
There are also options for vegans and vegetarians this Valentine's Day, as M&S launched a heart-shaped beetroot and onion burger.
"Pick one up in store now and serve in a fluffy bun with sweet potato fries for a vegan Valentine's dinner that's sure to get your date's heart-beet racing," Marks and Spencer suggested on Instagram as it unveiled its latest dish.
