M&M's Chocolate Bars Are Coming To The UK For The First Time
You know M&Ms, they've been around since you were a kid. They're the sweets you used to sneak in the cinema alongside your Maltesers and Starburst. Those peanut-y chocolate-y balls of deliciousness encased in a hard sugar shell...
For the first time since their conception in the 1940s, M&M's will no longer be lone rangers in a bag but conjoined in a scrumptious bar. YUM!
M&Ms Bars will come in four different varieties - Chocolate, Peanut, Crispy and Hazelnut - featuring mini M&M's in the flavours packed in a chunky chocolate bar.
A heads up: we've tried them here at Pretty52 HQ and they live up to the hype.
Cordelia Linacre, M&M's Senior Brand Manager, said: "We've been inundated with requests to bring M&M's Bars to the UK - so we're extremely excited to announce that the wait is over! We invite existing fans and all chocolate lovers to get stuck in!"
They've already received rave reviews in the US and Australia and will be hitting Tesco nationwide from 17th July with a full national rollout across other retailers and convenience stores from 17th August.
The bars will be easy to find in stores as they'll be standing upright - a jaunty nod to their cheeky onscreen brand mascots.
The makers of M&Ms drove fans into meltdown last year with the news that they were rolling out three new flavours: M&M Crunchy Espresso and M&M Crunchy Mint.
Instead of the usual milk chocolate filling, each of the new M&Ms is stuffed with a tasty dark chocolate centre that's studded with crispy rice, with pink, brown and green candy coatings denoting the raspberry, coffee and mint flavours.
It was also announced that there would finally be a solution to the long-running toss-up between the chocolate, crispy and peanut variants of M&Ms - with the introduction of mixed bags featuring all three.
We are overly excited about this.
