Nothing says summer like grabbing an iced coffee during your lunch break, and now McDonald's has got you covered.

The fast food giant is bringing out two brand new ice cold drinks for summer: a Millionaire's Shortbread frappe, which sounds super decadent, and a classic iced latte.

These two menu additions are also slightly cheaper than similar offerings at Starbucks and other coffee chains.

McDonald's iced lattes cost just £1.99 and will be available all year round. We're pretty late to the game in the UK as iced lattes have actually been on sale in McDonald's in other countries, like the US and China, for around a decade. Still, we won't hold it against the chain, as at least it's letting us into the party in time for the incoming summer.

In comparison, a tall iced latte costs around £2.70 from Starbucks or £2.55 from Costa.

The Millionaire's frappe costs a little more at £2.59, but it's basically a dessert and a coffee all in one, so really you're saving money rather than spending it.

The Millionaire's frappe is also cheaper than similar options at Costa or Starbucks, meaning it's an economical way to get your sugar hit.

Starbucks' Caramel Frappuccino costs £3.50 while Costa's Salted Caramel Crunch Frostino is priced at £3.45

The frappe is basically a cold version of McDonald's Millionaire's latte, a popular Christmas menu item.

The new drink is caramel biscuit-flavoured, blended with chocolate and caramel pieces, then topped with chocolate cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

The iced latte on the other hand will actually offer you a caffeine-fix, as it's an espresso shot poured over cold milk and ice.

If all of that sounds like a summer's dream, you're in luck - both drinks have already landed at McDonald's branches all over the UK, so you can get your hands on them today for a mid-week treat...or, of course, just an anytime treat. You deserve it!
