KFC Adds Two New Sides To Its Menu Including Creamy Mashed Potato
KFC has delighted fans in UK and Ireland by adding mashed potato to its menu - a side that's previously only been available Stateside.
The addition will be welcome news to fans of the fast food chain, who have previously begged it to introduce the creamy pot that's so popular with American customers.
Its launch is one of three new side options for the brand including spicy rice and a garden salad.
At 110 calories per portion, it has 2.5g fat, 17.5g of carbs and 0.79g salt. A portion of regular fries, on the other hand, contains 250 calories, 11g of fat, 30g of carbs and 0.5g of salt.
Boasting the same price tag as the rest of KFC's standard-sized sides, a regular pot is 99p while a large is £1.69.
And the other newbies? The Southern Rice is described as 'mildly spicy colourful rice with veggies' while the Garden Salad is said to be 'a fresh and crunchy salad with sweetcorn, tomatoes and buttermilk dressing, that also provides one of your five a day'.

Social media users have already shared their joy over the move.
"As if KFC has started selling mash. Do you know how long I've waited for this [sic]," tweeted one.
"KFC mash potato is a game changer," and "This is not a drill KFC now do mash potato!!! #bestdayever," agreed others.
It comes in the same week the chain announced a limited edition deal offering customers 30 chicken wings for £5.99 - slashed from the usual £9.90. The discount runs until 14th July in participating stores.
