Here's How You Can Get Your Hands On The McDonald's 'Secret Menu'

Most McDonald's lovers will have heard rumours of the elusive 'secret menu', but only true fast food fans will have gotten their hands on it.

There's some good news for fans of the burger chain, because according to one Mc D's manager, the secret menu does (technically) exist, but you'll have to pay to get your hands on it.

On Reddit thread "Ask Me Anything," the Glasgow store manager said: "You can order from the 'Secret Menu'. Just like with any of our sandwiches, you can add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called 'grill orders' (i.e. Big Mac no pickle)."

So, it turns out it's not exactly a secret menu, but by customising orders and swapping ingredients, and even paying for extras - you can nab yourself a cheeky secret item.

He continued: "Order one and the workers might not know it by name (i.e. Land, Air and Sea burger or the McGangBang) but if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it's just another 'grill order' that we can make up."

Thanks to the introduction of those nifty self-service checkouts, it's now even easier to customise your burgers to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. However, some of the most popular 'secret' items can end up getting a little pricey because the extra items certainly don't come for free.

One of the most popular 'secret' items is the 'Land, Air and Sea burger'. This creation sees beef, fish and chicken combined into one burger for a protein heavy meal.

To make it, you need to order a Big Mac, a Filet-O-Fish and a McChicken sandwich, and then build it yourself by putting the fish and chicken patties in to the Big Mac.

Beware though, this will set you back £10.47, and also a hefty 1,225 calories. It looks huge as well, so if your eating game is not as strong as it needs to be, you can also just modify it slightly and go for the 'Surf n Turf', which is the same - minus the chicken. That's a bit more manageable, at £6.98 and 837 calories.

Another is the 'Mc10:35' - named because of the fact it mixes items from the breakfast menu and the main menu.

Timing is key with this one - you need an Egg and Cheese McMuffin and a Double cheeseburger Bang them together and there you have it. At only £3.58 and 740 calories, it's one of the cheaper options and least unhealthy - kind of.

Others include 'The Hangover Cure' - a Sausage and Egg McMuffin with a hash brown inside it, and then 'The Monster Mac', which consists of a ridiculous EIGHT patties.

Like a milkshake? Well, you don't have to stick to just one flavour. If you ask for a mix, your server should oblige. And combining strawberry, vanilla and chocolate will give you a Neapolitan.
