B&M has already started selling Reese's advent calendars in August and shoppers are already filling their stockings.

There's still just under 100 days until we can open the first door on our advent calendars but B&M have started preparations early by releasing a Reese's peanut butter cups advent calendar- does this mean we can put the tree up now?

The calendars are exclusive to the discount store and are just £4.99 which could be why shoppers are already snapping them up.

The American advent became a social media phenomenon last year after it appeared in several Facebook bargain groups and sold out before many shoppers could get their hands on one.

The calendars only arrived in store this week but B&M are predicting that if this weeks sales are anything to go by they will sell out before Christmas.

The bargain store has also started to introduce even more Christmas themed treats, including Jelly Tots, boxes of Haribo and Drumstick Squashies.

Reese's also appeared to be embracing the season of goodwill earlier this year when they gifted a customer hundreds of peanut butter cups when his didn't include any peanut butter.

one man was forced to take to Reddit after discovering that the Reese's peanut butter cups he'd purchased were butter-less.

Redditor Alex Hentges' treats were literally just solid chocolate with absolutely no nutty-goodness in sight.

Alex first realised that something was off when handling the bright orange treats, before he had even opened them to pop in his gob.

He told Insider: "They were room temperature, and I knew something was off because it wasn't squishy.

"So I decided to break it in half after opening and found the disaster."

Turns out that there was a total of six of the cups which were made only from chocolate.

His post was noticed by the chocolate manufacturer, who reached out to him on social media, telling him that he would receive 'coupons' for the inconvenience caused.

Alex updated the Reddit thread, writing: "Reese's has reached out and is sending me coupons. Thanks to everyone for your concerns and well-wishes through this trying time."

However, just a few days later, a HUGE package of Reese's goodies arrived through his letterbox, full of all the chocolate and peanut butter treats you could ever imagine.
