Spoons at the ready as Ben & Jerry's has just launched a deliciously indulgent new dairy-free ice cream.

Coconutterly Caramel'd is a brand new addition to the ice cream specialist's vegan frozen desserts selection, and it sounds utterly divine.

The ice cream is swirled with oodles of vegan caramel and cookies, with a tasty coconut twist. Coconutterly Caramel'd is the first and only coconut flavour in the Ben & Jerry's line.

The fair trade, frozen creamy goodness will arrive in the freezer aisles of supermarkets in the new year, just in time for Veganuary.

It's been made with almonds and is loaded with chunks and swirls, promising fans 'euphoria in every bite'.

It joins the likes of Chunky Monkey, Peanut Butter and Cookies, and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, plus a whole host of other plant-based ice cream tubs from Ben & Jerry's to dig your spoon into.

"We've been churning on this for years, trying to recreate the luscious flavours and satisfying creaminess that set Ben & Jerry's dairy collection apart and we think we've cracked it with a taste like no udder - we think this tastes so good that our Non-Dairy fans won't miss what's missing," said Ben & Jerry's Flavour Guru, Josine Nohlman.

"This flavour delivers it all-from caramel swirls to chocolatey chunks and...well...we're coconutterly in love with this one!"

Tubs of the new flavour are set to retail for £6, slightly more expensive than Ben & Jerry's regular, dairy ice cream selection which comes in at around £5.50.

Those following a plant-based diet have been treated to loads of delicious vegan adaptations of festive favourites in recent weeks.

Supermarket giant Morrisons launched 'Veggies in Vests' earlier this week - a vegan take on Christmas staple pigs in blankets.

And ASDA also launched a completely vegan cheeseboard to round-off Christmas dinner.
