ASDA just upped the game with the launch of bacon-flavoured skin on fries, and we are chomping at the bit to try them.

Bags of the savoury snack or side dish can be found in the frozen aisles of the supermarket giant, and they will set you back just £1.50 for 500g, which works out at four portions.

The new oven chips are said to be extra crunchy and loaded with bacon flavour. Plus, the fries are also suitable for vegetarians, meaning everyone can enjoy the taste of these.

ASDA's bacon fries cook from frozen in just 18 minutes in the oven, and are available online here as well as in the supermarket's stores.

The chips use a "smoke flavouring" and onion powder plus other ingredients to achieve a bacon-like taste.

And seeing as bacon is one of the country's favourite flavours, expect a riot in the frozen food aisles if you want to grab a bag of these.

We will be dreaming of bacon fries for the rest of the day.

If you are after something to satisfy your sweet tooth instead, then ASDA is also selling giant custard cream cakes.

The massive version of a beloved custard cream biscuit is priced at £8, and is big enough to serve a whopping 16 people, which works out at just 50p a slice. Count us in.

The new cake is made with vanilla buttercream and has the instantly recognisable design of the biscuit's outer shell. It seems like shoppers can't get enough of it either.

One ASDA customer reviewed: "Excellent value for money very similar taste to a custard cream this was the perfect cake for a small birthday gathering we had for my moms birthday, my son loved it. Would highly recommend."

Another wrote: "A moist cake with a good amount of butter icing in the middle. It's a fun cake as I'm sure most people knows someone who loves Custard Creams. I would recommend this cake."
