It's officially time to get the Christmas decorations out and turn your house into a winter wonderland.

But if you're lacking a bit of inspiration, then we have scoured Pinterest to find the most popular trees and given you a few tips on how to recreate them in your own home.

This nature-inspired tree would look perfect in any farm house or rural cottage. You could even make use of natural decorations you can find right on your doorstep like pine cones.

With 87,000 pins, it looks like a lot of people have used this for tree inspiration, and we can see why. It is pretty easy to achieve and it can work on either a real or artificial tree.

If yours doesn't already have a snowy effect, you can pick up a can of the artificial stuff for around £3. You can then use burlap ribbon and drape it vertically down your tree.

This particular design uses just white baubles, for a simple, classic look.

You can then add pine cones, which you could also cover in snow and bells, before finishing it off with cotton wool to give it an extra festive touch.

Grab your snow spray again and go to town when hanging pink decorations, too. Blushed pink baubles will look incredible against the white snow.

The tree also has a few quirky decorations dotted around just to give it a little bit of personality.

To top it off, you need a showstopping tree topper instead of going for a traditional star or angel.

If you love to colour coordinate, then why not just throw the rainbow onto your tree (in an organised way, of course).

Stock up on as many baubles as possible in all the colours of the rainbow and gradually fade them into each other when placing them on the tree.

Some burlap ribbon will also break it up a little bit and there's no other way to top a tree like this off without a huge gold star.

If you want Christmas to be all about memories, then this tree looks like it's the perfect place to start, plus it doesn't need any snow spray.

Adding a few photo baubles to the tree will give it a personal touch. A mixture of white and gold traditional decorations will also fill the tree up.

A 'Merry Christmas' garland and a huge silver bow makes the tree even more personal.

It doesn't get much more traditional than red and gold at Christmas, and for this you one you'll need a lot of red ribbon.

You'll also need plenty of red and gold baubles. Layer them up until your tree looks fit to burst, but don't let it topple over.

Dot a few 'Merry Christmas' plaques around the tree and add gold poinsettias to create this beautifully festive treat. Add some red berry sprays to the top and your traditional tree is all done.
