Party season is in full swing, meaning our eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks and perfume bottles are taking a huge hit as we up the glam.
While we can use primers and products to make our make-up from sliding south during the evening, trying to make our signature scent last proves a little bit more difficult.
So if you'd rather not splurge on a load of new fragrances to see you through, here's a few easy hacks you can use while getting ready so you smell just as rosy when you leave the party as you did when you arrived.
According to experts, the best time to spritz your perfume is as soon as you step out of the shower. This is because the moisture left over gives the fragrance something to stick onto, meaning it lasts longer by locking into the water droplets.

And if you really want to go the extra mile, you should apply a moisturiser to your skin for the same reasons stated above.
We'd always apply a primer to make our foundation last longer, and the moisturiser can be used in the same way while spraying our perfume. Extra points if your moisturiser or body lotion matches the perfume (hello Christmas gift sets!).
There are also certain optimum spots on your body where you should spritz the fragrance. Your neck, inside of your elbows, wrists and back of you knees are all pulse points, and the fluctuations in temperature help your scent to radiate all day.

Rubbing a touch of Vaseline on your pulse points skin before application will work in the same way as moisturiser too.
You also shouldn't rub your perfume into your skin though, as this can change the fragrance. Instead, just spritz and leave or just lightly dab your pulse points together if you must.
Keeping your perfume in your bedroom rather than the bathroom helps the scent stay strong before spraying, too.
Keeping it inside its original box also keeps daylight at bay which can break down the fragrance.
