We've had to endure many crazy festival trends over the years, and love them or hate them, you can't deny they're a sure way to make you stand out as you prance around the field.
In the past we've had glitter roots, glitter boobs, glitter bums and flower boobs, but the latest sparkly installment taking over our Instagram feeds are glitter suspenders.
To clarify, festival-goers far and wide are decorating their upper thighs with strips of jewels which descend down to emulate the hold-ups.
Some are wearing their glitter suspenders with little else than a thong, though if you're not down with baring all, they look equally good with hot pants or shorts.

The trend was first spotted at Coachella (where else?) with revellers looking to out-do one another with their sparkly designs.
The trend appears to be pioneered by glitter cosmetics brand, Go Get Glitter, who were working their magic on festival goers.
The brand specialise in faux glitter clothing, where they replace bralets, bikinis and shorts with just glitter and glitter alone. It's certainly a look for the daring, as it requires a lot of nudity, but the results are amazing.

But without a doubt the brand's most sought-after look this year has to be glitter suspenders. Just look how incredible they look in motion...
Recreating the look is easy provided you are stocked up with as much jewels, gems and glitter as you can get your hands on.

First, create your 'garter' by taking your largest gems and sticking them around the circumference of your leg, starting at the upper thigh. Next, build downwards with your smaller gems before trailing off with glitter to create the 'suspenders'. Easy peasy.
We're expecting to see glitter suspenders everywhere this summer...
