You Can Now Buy A Shower Shield To Protect Makeup And Lashes

We've all been there: you've just had your makeup done, but you quite fancy freshening up in the shower before you head out. Or, God forbid, you've noticed your hair is looking greasy and you need to do some damage control ASAP... But what about your makeup?

Well this is where 'SHOWRSHIELD' comes in, a shield to protect your make up from running while you shower. Genius, huh?!

The cool gadget, which costs $14.95 (£11.77), is essentially a plastic shield which is secured to the head with velcro pre-shower.

And it's not just panda eyes that the shower shield is going to save you from. It's also designed to protect facial surgery healing, eyelash extensions and microbladed brows, all of which you're advised to keep dry in the following days.

As with all good inventions, the idea was thought up by someone who found a need for the product in their own life.

Sheridan Elle, who founded SHOWRSHIELD, said: "I started this company after standing in the shower countless times using my hands as a makeshift shield in an attempt to protect my previously applied makeup (that took me a considerable amount of time and not to mention money to apply) from getting ruined.

If you're wondering if the shield actually works, then same. Surely a bit of velcro can't keep you completely watertight? Can you really wash your entire hair without even a drop of water hitting your face?
