Any fashion conscious women will tell you they dress for themselves (or their friends) rather than their boyfriends. Many of our male significant others just won't appreciate a pleated midi skirt, a fine bit of gingham,] or a chunky headband.
One woman who understands this more than anyone is Olivia Jackson, whose boyfriend despises her fashion sense so much she created an Instagram account to document his loathing.
Olivia, 24, from London, started her Instagram page @clothesmyboyfriendhates in which she documents her high street purchases and all the tone-deaf comments her boyfriend makes about them.

Her channel is proving a hit with people that can totally relate, wracking up over 14 thousand followers since she began it in March last year.
Olivia's boyfriend compares her clothes to farmer's outfits, tea towels and hospital gowns, while he hates mustard, leopard, and clashing pink and red, as documented in Olivia's captions.
When talking about the item of clothing she thinks her fella hates the most, Olivia points us to a multi-coloured Primark dress which her boyfriend calls her 'technicolour dreamcoat'. Savage.
It isn't the first instance of partner-related fashion face-palming we've heard of. Magazine editor Jo Elvin has been hilariously documenting the clothes her husband hates for years with the hashtag #clothesmyhusbandhates.
Insults range from "that jacket that looks like it's been through some sort of horrible experience" to "'f**king hideous trousers hanging up in the spare room." Brilliant!
