These Rainbow Wedding Veils Are Ideal For Alternative Brides

White just got really boring all of a sudden.

We've all got that one friend who runs in the opposite direction of tradition. Instead of a ballgown they opt for a power suit, a birthday party might be swapped out for skydiving, and instead of your usual white wedding veil they might opt for a rainbow one instead.

Crown and Glory is the accessories brand that are catering to brides with alternative tastes - and it even has us rethinking how good 'traditional' really is.

The Welsh brand's star item has to be the Over The Rainbow Veil for brides that love a splash of colour. Just look how gorg:

The veil, which is part of the brand's collaboration with alternative wedding magazine Rock n Roll Bride, is made using super-soft tulle in multicoloured rainbow hues.

It's available in a double-layer fingertip or single layer chapel and cathedral length and ranges in price between £150 and £200 depending on the length you go for.

Dreamy no?

Sophie King, founder of Crown and Glory, tells PRETTY 52 that the veils were born through a gap in the market "for fun, colourful handmade accessories." With every piece completely customisable, Sophie says,"no wedding is the same and we believe no bride should feel like she's a carbon copy either."

The founder from Newport says the kaleidoscopic veils are perfect for "babes with punk rock in their hearts who leave a trail of glitter and magic as they stomp down the aisle.

"They are for girls who match their hair to their favourite lipstick and their knickers to their shoes. They're for brides who want to rock their own breed of weirdness on their wedding day."

Sophie says her veils are all part of a growing trend towards alternative wedding accessories ("even more traditional brides want to feel like they're stamping their own personality onto their wedding") adding that she's even been commissioned to make glitter bow ties for men, matching hair clips for bridesmaids and even flower collars for dogs!

Crown and Glory's dip dyed ombre pieces are the most highly requested, with Sophie adding "our customers love that they can add a splash of colour to their wedding day outfit."

Another super cool offering has to be the Disco Dreams Metallic Dot Polka Veil, a white tulle veil covered in colourful metallic polka dots. This one can surely be taken from ceremony to reception seamlessly - how good would this look on the dance floor?!

This one ranges from £125 to £200 depending on length.

If you want to go extra lavish with your veil you better look to the Cloud Nine Ostrich Feather Veil, made using "flare-free hexagonal ivory bridal tulle with sustainably sourced ostrich feather trim".

The stunning creation is available in ivory, dip dyed or fully dyed in a choice of 35 colours.

People seem to be loving the veils with one person commenting on Instagram: "Absolutely incredible! I so wish these had been around when I got married 10 years ago! You are a genius!"

"Wow. So unique! Love this," another wrote.

"This is so extra!!! Would love this for a shoot!," said another.

We have to agree, they are gorgeous.
