Sneakerheads, listen up - Converse is about to drop the coolest collaboration you've ever seen.

Joining forces with online US retailer Chinatown Market, the duo has come up with a UV-activated shoe that changes colour when you step outside.

Basically, when exposed to direct sunlight, the soft pastel green/pink canvas upper switches shades, morphing into a wild combo of blue, orange, fuschia and purple.

What is essentially two shoes in one, you'll definitely get a lot of bang for your buck if you snap up a pair of these babies, which will set you back $100 (£81) for the Chuck 70 Hi model and $95 (£77) for the Chuck 70s.

As you'll see from this trippy Instagram video, the trainers start off as a blank off-white canvas before quickly transitioning to a vibrant multi-coloured pair when exposed to the sun, and it's completely blowing our minds.

Talking to Sneaker News about how UV tech interacts with the user and the environment it's in, Chinatown market founder and lead designer Mike Cherman said to Sneaker News: "I think that's what's so fun about this project.

"It makes the shoe more than just a shoe. It's a conversation pieces, something that's unique the wearer."

"These hues [on the shoe] change in their own way, and some colours will last longer while others will last for a shorter time period. It's the beauty of the shoes: how unique they are," he added.

Whether you're heading to work or want to snap up a pair for your next summer festival, you'd get some serious style points rocking a pair of these Converse.

"It changes with you. You go to a music festival, the shoes are all bright and crazy in the sunlight, and the moment you step inside a tent, they go back to their pastel base and are different. That's what's so fun," he added.

SO FUN.

The collection will launch on Chinatown Market at 12.01am PDT on Saturday 20th July, which is 8.01am here in the UK, so make sure you get to bed early on Friday cause you'll want to be logged on a 8am sharp for a chance of getting your hands on a pair.
