Fans Accuse Jesy Nelson Of Cultural Appropriation After New Hair Style
Jesy Nelson isn't afraid to mix up her style, and has tried almost every hair style imaginable over the years.
From red head to blonde bombshell to pretty in pink, the Little Mix star is a chameleon when it comes to her locks.
But her latest hair style has caused quite a stir on social media, with many of her Instagram followers accusing her of 'cultural appropriation' in the comments section.
Jesy's choice of red 'dreadlocks' angered an abundance of fans, prompting a fierce social media debate.
One person quickly slammed: "This is so offensive to black people Jesy!"
"You and your best friend are the Queens of [cultural] appropriation," accused another follower.
While a third echoed: "Jesy I love you but no. This is culture appropriation. Delete it or educate yourselves about cultures."
"Jesy I hope u at least apologize. If you don't, you'll be labelled as ignorant for the rest of your career," ranted a final follower. "I'm not black but I'm very aware of their culture and I respect it. If someone as simple as a fan like me can get educated on this, it shouldn't be hard for Jesy to do so too [sic]."
The Little Mix star isn't the the only celebrity to have been accused of 'cultural appropriation' in recent weeks, as Kim Kardashian was slammed for her 'Bo Derek braids' after posting this Snapchat...
Fans were furious that she 'credited her blonde corn rows to a white woman', and she was quickly called out on social media.
