Women's Aid has hit out Joe Garrett's "controlling" behaviour towards Lucie Donlan on Love Island.
In a recent episode, 21-year-old Lucie was left in tears after Joe, 22, told her to stay away from the boys, specifically boxer Tommy Fury, who had originally made a play for her affections.
The catering company owner's treatment of Lucie left fans increasingly concerned on Twitter of her well-fare and has led to more than 300 complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom.
Reflecting on the couple, former Love Island contestant Malin Andersson tweeted: "Can the producers make sure Lucie is OK please?"

Another shared: "Seeing actual signs of emotional abuse on Love Island is excruciating."
"Its actually becoming uncomfortable to watch how everyone is treating Lucie," a viewer commented. "I'd genuinely worry for her mental health."
And in the wake of the commentary online, Adina Claire of Women's Aid has spoken out about Joe's behaviour towards Lucie.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Controlling behaviour is never acceptable.

"With Love Island viewers complaining about Joe's possessive behaviour towards Lucie, more people are becoming aware of this and want to challenge it.
"Abusive relationships often start off with subtle signs of control.
Earlier this month, Pretty52 spoke to relationship expert Emma Kenny about Joe's possessive behaviour after he was likened to Joe from Netflix series, You, which sees the character become instantly obsessed with a strange.
According to Emma, Joe's behaviour at the time in which he branded Lucie untrustworthy as she chatted to Tommy as "very immature" and may be a red flag.

Emma added that Joe was already being super "territorial" over Lucie just three days into the villa and had become "instantly invested" in their relationship, despite them barely knowing one another in reality.
The comments come after Joe and Lucie were voted one of the least compatible couples alongside Anton and Elma by their fellow Islanders on Monday night's show.
Michael and Amber, Tommy and Molly-Mae as well as Curtis and Amy cherry picked the two couples for the title.

In a shock twist, viewers had until 10.30pm on Monday to save one Islander from each of the least compatible couples, leaving fans deciding whether to send Lucie or Joe.
Fans also had make a decision on whether to keep Anton or Elma.
