The entire Tapper family won't be starring in this series of Channel 4's Gogglebox, show bosses have confirmed.

Amy Tapper quit the show to sign up to E4's Celebs Go Dating earlier this year, but producers have said the entire family is 'taking a break' from the new series.

It is unclear whether the rest of the Tappers, Jonathon, Nikki and Josh, will make a return to the show at a later date, but Amy has already confirmed that her own future on Gogglebox looks doubtful, as she has plans to go travelling.

The Celebs Go Dating star told OK! Online: "I will most likely not return to the show, I'm going to go travelling so I won't be on the next couple of series anyway.

"This is something that has come off the back of it."

A show spokesperson confirmed that the rest of Tapper family, who have been on the show since series one, were 'taking a break' from their Gogglebox duties.

"The Tappers are currently on a break but have not left the show," the spokesperson explained.

Celebs Go Dating will make a return to E4 this October, and the new series of Gogglebox is already airing on Friday evenings at 9pm on Channel 4.

Eighteen-year-old Amy is joining the likes of Eyal Booker, Chloe Sims and Olivia Attwood to find herself a new fella on the show.

And in preparation for the new show, Amy switched up her dark and curly tresses in favour of bright blonde locks.

The dating agency has recruited love expert, Paul Carrick Brunson, for the 2018 series, who was brought in to replace Eden Blackman after he quit the show earlier this year.

Paul previously co-hosted Oprah Winfrey Network's Lovetown, and his other TV appearances include The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Wendy Williams Show and USA Today.

It has not yet been revealed who will be matchmaking alongside Paul, as Celebs Do Dating's other resident expert, Nadia Essex, has been suspended from the reality show over 'improper use of social media'.

While things might look pretty different, Tom Read Wilson, the dating agency's charming receptionist will be back.
