The Greatest Showman Stage Musical Reportedly Coming To Broadway

The musical movie The Greatest Showman received poor reviews when it first came out and didn't have a great start at the cinemas but everything changed when the soundtrack became an international sensation.

Five months later and it's just returned to the top of the UK album charts making it's 15th week at Number One. Pretty impressive.

It's the biggest album of the year with extremely catchy feelgood songs including This Is Me, Rewrite The Stars, The Greatest Show and Never Enough.

Now fans will get the chance to see their favourite songs performed live as major Broadway plans are reportedly underway.

If you're not familiar with the hit musical, it's basically an all-singing, all-dancing and all-out amazing rags-to-riches tale of circus visionary PT Barnum played by Hugh Jackman as he pioneers the invention of the modern-day circus.

According to the Express, recently leading man Hugh said: "We were talking about a live version of the show even before [the movie] came out.

"There was a discussion at one point in the eight-year journey of this movie of maybe going live first...

"When Keala Settle got up, stood in the middle of a room and sang This Is Me with no makeup, no nothing, no anything, there was not a dry eye in the house. The musical really works live."

Talking about the prospect of a major stage version, Benj Pasek, who co-wrote The Greatest Showman's songs said: "We're really thinking about whatever else could happen with this piece and with these songs, these performances.

"How can we get it to those people who have championed it and who have, in a way, made it theirs? How can we give something else back to them?"

We are so ready for this musical to happen, you'll find us sat at the front singing along to every single word.
