Here’s A First Look At The New Jurassic World Ride At Universal Studios Hollywood
The brand new attraction will give guests a chance to get up close and personal with dinosaurs from the Jurassic World film thanks to incredible special effects and cutting-edge technology.
Set to be opened this summer, the ride will plunge guests into seriously realistic environments from the movie.
In a statement, Universal Studios announced: "Leaping from the silver screen to the theme park, 'Jurassic World-The Ride' will immerse guests into newly themed environments and breathe new life into dimensional animatronic dinosaurs, including some all-new fan favourites featured in the Jurassic World films from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment."
The raft ride, which replaces the original Jurassic Park ride (pictured above), which closed after 22 years last year, will feature an 84-feet waterfall and a host of terrifying dinosaurs from the movie, who will chase down those on the ride.
There will also be a new Raptor Encounter area where guests can interact with the dinosaurs, and a Dino Play area where kids can learn more about the extinct creatures, take part in excavations and discover dinosaur fossils.
Universal Studios has certainly been busy: just a few weeks ago, it announced that Universal Studios Orlando will soon see the arrival of yet another new Harry Potter-themed ride, called Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
The new ride will open in June, and will allow guests to fly with Hagrid on a rollercoaster ride, meeting some of the "wizarding world's rarest magical creatures" on their way.
This latest addition has delighted Harry Potter fans, who have already been able to enjoy a selection of fantastic rides based around the franchise at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, including Flight of the Hippogriff, Harry Potter and the Escape and the Hogwarts Express.
