Made In Chelsea fan favourite Josh 'JP' Patterson has announced the shock news that he has quit the reality show.

The 27-year-old revealed that he's left the programme to focus on his daddy duties - he recently welcomed a baby girl, adorably named India, with Binky Felstead. I'm guessing he'll still be balling around Chelsea though!

Speaking to The Sun Online at the launch of his sportswear collab with fashion brand Burton, JP said: "We are two very blessed individuals to have been asked to go on that show.

"Binks did five or six years. I was on it for three years. It's ultimately got Binky and I to the position we're in right now.

"I think we'll be eternally grateful for it but I think it like anything in life as you grow older you start to look for new opportunities."

He also explained that his priorities had changed now that he's a dad, and his main focus was his daughter. "When you've got young kids coming into the mix and it's not about partying and who fancies who," the reality star continued.

"As much as we love that show, I think you've got to make a choice. I think you make a choice if you want to be on a reality show or be a parent. We keep in contact with them consistently."

While I'm sure that some fans will be pretty disappointed to hear that JP will no longer be in the series, you've got to give it to the guy for taking his daddy duties seriously. Bravo, Josh.

He hasn't ruled out the odd cameo appearance though, so he may be back on screens some time in the future.

Last year, Binks and JP starred in Born In Chelsea, a MIC spin-off following their journey into parenthood...

The show went down a storm with fans, so here's hoping that another series gets renewed. Keep your fingers and toes crossed!
